With Hannah Montana behind her, Miley Cyrus is a busy girl doing movies and the talk shows. Am I the only one who thinks her voice is very grating? I don’t know what it is about her voice, but I can’t stand to listen to her talk. She sounds like a duck squawking. Somehow she can sing – but talking, not so good.

Snoozed Through the Tonys

Did you watch the Tonys Awards show last night? I saw a part of it and then fell asleep. I was glad to see that the play “Billy Elliot” won a lot of the awards, but it seemed a little lopsided when there are so many deserving plays and actors this year. I can’t help but think that most of these so-called awards shows are fixed by the good old boy network and the fans are just played for fools when we watch the hype.

The only real excitement in the show was when Bret Michaels ran into some scenery. I mean, WTF? Was he so f*d up that he couldn’t make it across the stage? He laughed it off, but DAMN. What an idiot.

Rodeo

The girls at work were talking about going to the rodeo next week. I have never been to a real rodeo. I think it would be fun. We might all go together and sit in the grandstands together. I hope some of the girls have been before so they know what is going on and what to do. I know they will have horses and bull riding. I don’t know what else to expect, but I’m sure it will be great.

Survivor on Thursdays

My favorite reality show has got to be the Survivor Series.I make a point ot be at home on Thursday nights so I don’t miss any of the episodes.

I love to watch the human interaction between the players. They have to build alliances and make friends and yet they have to compete against each other and win more than the others. It is a constant struggle to find the right balance in the human dynamics between each player. I would love to be a player on this show. I am smart, have great people skills and and physicaly fit. I think I couldmake it to the final three and maybe even win!

Ellen & Bonnie on NBC

I have always adored Ellen DeGeneres and try and catch her day time talk show when my schedule allows it. Her talk show is always wonderful and most entertaining, it is a “Feel Good” show if ever there was one.

The newest female talk show host to come to the air waves is Bonnie Hunt, and I have to tell you that I have enjoyed her show each time that I have seen it (or parts of it) and am happy to see another show that I can put into the “Feel Good” category, that category is pretty empty as of late. Most of the shows that are being televised these days are not something that I generally enjoy, sad to say.

Life without the Internet?

I can’t even imagine what my life would be like without the benefit of the Internet, and to think that just some 20 years ago people lived life easy enough with out all that the Internet has to offer these days.

If something happens to my computer I totally feel cut off from the entire world that is going on around me and tend to panic until the issue is resolved. I’m lucky that I have a few family members and friends that are so good with computers, so when a problem does arrive I have several people that I can count on to guide me or come to my rescue, I’m so totally grateful to them all.
